"Shockley was hit by a drunk driver in 2022 and was left with *head injuries* and numerous broken bones, a GoFundMe set up by her family at the time showed.

She was unable to walk for days after the accident, which happened when she was just 15, Fox 59 reported at the time.

“She’s outgoing. She just wants to go, go, go. She’s always on the move,” her aunt, Angela Altmeyer told the outlet, describing her as a loving and fun girl."

I wonder if damage to the pre-frontal cortex changed her personality...

That could definitely be a factor. Quite a few serial killers had traumatic brain injuries.

If nothing else, maybe she got into the obsessing about mass shooters cesspit at that time 🤔

thanks, Karen, for bringing up the CAUSE rather than the symptom of mental illness. This needs a whole lot of further exploration.

This girl is just a lonely schizophrenic sociopath who has latched onto the trans thing as just another one of her obsessions. Karen is right though the the cowardice of the mainstream media in still pandering to transgenderism irrespective of the behaviour of so called trans individuals needs to end.

Refreshingly that maybe starting for those who my be aware of the Dr Beth Upton case in Scotland the Scottish Daily Express has taken a stance on this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luuyRdyMNlg

Gender liar or not, why they heck did her father allow her to have pictures of mass murderers on her bedroom wall?

She is 18yo, so not sure that her parents can legally be held accountable for playing a part in her school shooting plan, but it needs to be looked into (thinking of Ethan Crumbley, school shooter whose parents were also charged, and found guilty, of a crime in essentially aiding and abetting their son to do what he did).

some parents.... just don't give a flying fuck. i exhibited countless indicators of "troubled teen". drinking, staying out all weekend, sex, etc. my parents are/were trash who never should have bred. (mom died in 2007. Dad stubbornly remains breathing and is 80)

I am so sorry, Diane! My sister and I had an extremely abusive father and a mom who couldn't or wouldn't help us. So I know how it feels. I hope your life now is just as wonderful as it was bad in your childhood!

due to disability and poverty, I had to go live with my dad, and it was worse than I feared.

the pattern i notice is a male shooter will get the female pronouns & hagiographic coverage.

the increasing number of female shooters don't seem to get called men, or he/him. have you read the write-ups by PsychGirl about trans-type psychopathy, etc?

I've read a fair amount about sociopaths in an attempt to better understand my abusive mother, and -- the core component of sociopathy/ASPD is a fundamental inability to feel relational empathy, which causes them to view other people as objects/toys to use. Which can very well be caused by a head injury, as in the well known case of a man who had a piece of rebar shoved through his brain and survived the injury, but became extremely violent and hateful afterwards.

Sociopaths cannot be rehabbed, they can only be taught to outwardly behave in a socially appropriate manner... and even then, typically they only go through the motions and perform normalcy if they'll get something out of it.

As much as 20% of the population is estimated to be on the ASPD spectrum, but no one notices because the tv told us that only violent criminals can be sociopaths. It gets more complicated in cases like men who date rape or who don't care if their girlfriend/wife is in the mood or not, where they have some amount of relational empathy day to day, but it turns off the second their dick gets involved. Which goes to show that sociopathy/ASPD is a spectrum and not an all or nothing disorder, and that it's very very widespread, considering how many men need to be fucking told that refilling their date's wine glass until she's nice and docile is not consent.

I wonder how many gender liars have ASPD that's being shoved under the rug... leftist ideology orders its followers to have zero empathy for "cishet" people, with particular ire for women who enjoy their femininity; so what is actually a serious mental impairment is instead perceived as being a good dog and obeying your master.

I think head injuries in children or young people have been noted in people (men!) who have later become serial killers haven't they?

Expand full comment

Most likely have not had a head injury. I recall reading once about a quarter of serial killers have. Don't think the connection between head injury and becoming a serial killer has been studied enough for there to be any clear correlation.

Expand full comment

I don't think it's a confirmed cause of anything, it seems to have been noted as more an issue that could be studied further to see if there is a pattern?

Expand full comment

It absolutely needs to be studied further. I've read figures ranging from 51-96% of inmates in the US have had a TBI.We really need a system in which people who have sustained certain injuries have the option to have a caseworker to navigate the healthcare system and to teach new ways of coping with aspects of daily living that are more difficult after the injury.

I recall reading multiple books about the subject. Dang if I can't remember the titles! But the studies were more for the writing of books than scholarly articles.

My dad was preordained to be a monster because of a head injury sustained in childhood. then, of course, being a brawler and a drunk didn't help. he said the attack happened at age 6, his cousin said 12, but it caused 3 days in a coma. i think maybe twice I've seen a glimmer of a human behind those bloodshot eyes. I'm aware of at least 3 major felonies. undoubtedly, there are more....

At university I took a continuing education course for college credit. Went to a Security Level 5, highest level of security, prison once a week for the quarter. We were educated on how the prison was run and sat down each week, one on one, to have a discussion with a different prisoner. It became pretty clear that the women over 30 who were taking the course, not for college credit, were there in the hopes of finding a new boyfriend. The man who garnered the most interest was convicted of killing two people and had a life sentence. Granted, he was good looking and charming, but good grief!

Why ‘Gender Dysphoria’ is a lie

Dr P XX

@Psychgirl211

Psychological distress and aberrant behaviours are always conceptualised through the lens of culture, and in any society, at any given time, we create medical and psychological narratives to best understand aspects of human behaviour based on these prevailing norms. These then go on to shape further behaviours. This is known as the ‘symptom pool’.

Anorexia was almost unknown in Hong Kong until a public awareness campaign was launched by Western psychiatrists in the 1990s. Within a few years there was a 2,500% increase in cases. Girls diagnosed with anorexia were treated sympathetically, they were taken out of school and given positive reinforcement for their illness. Unsurprisingly, more girls began restricting their eating, thus causing a growing feedback loop of youngsters developing anorexia. The awareness campaign in Hong Kong, had in effect, created and spread a novel mental illness (and its behavioural sequalae) into a population of receptive and suggestible adolescents.

In the 1980s and 90s ‘False Memory Syndrome’ led to families being torn apart by accusations of supposed childhood sexual abuse, particularly incest. Through guided imagery, hypnosis and simple suggestion, psychologists encouraged clients (mainly women) to ‘recover’ entirely factitious ‘memories’ of sexual abuse, some supposedly occurring as early as three months old!
