I won't be surprised if Trump's promises to rid boys from girl's sports go the way of Mexico paying for the imaginary wall. And being that he's buddy buddy with America's Favorite Troon, Bruce, who hired a film crew to film him walking into a women's bathroom, I can say with absolute certainty that trump is not a friend to women. And because there's millions of dollars in "Anti-Woke," Republicans will lift up anyone whi criticizes those who speak out against it, even if that person is a man who stole his daughter's clothes and jersey his meat in them.

I don't expect much either. Big pharma and big medical are behind the lobbying for this. Most of their CEOs are staunch right wingers. Here's an article from the NY Post. The Dems were bought by lobbyists to push this garbage. https://nypost.com/2025/01/19/us-news/nyt-poll-finds-majority-of-democrats-oppose-transgender-athletes-in-womens-sports/

I am an anti-statist and I don't support any candidates. I cared much less who actually won than who didn't. I am not a Donald Trump fan, and I don't really expect much either. But, it was a 100% certainty that Kamala would have supported both trans ideology and even expanded it. She also would have expanded the invasion of illegals and sanctuary cities which I also vehemently oppose. There were probably better, independent choices than Trump, but I can't imagine any worse choices than Kamala. If Kamala had won, there would be NO hope at all. Troons would have immediately been given free rein to run roughshod over all female rights. And the illegals would have also immediately been allowed to steal even more taxpayer money than they already are stealing. Trump may not do that much, and may end up supporting troonery too. But, one of the reasons that Trump won was because most Americans are against trans ideology and the invasion of illegals, so he has to know that most people are sorely opposed to those two things, and also want the economy to improve. I am also disturbed by the fact that Trump has a pet troon in the despicable Bruce Jenner.

You could be right, I hope not, but at least Dylan Mulvaney will not be prancing around in the Oval Office or Rose Garden. I too remember Trump cozying up to Brucie but I think he’s learned his lesson.

I believe Trump will absolutely sign some sort of Executive Order regarding gender identity b.s., likely within his first week, maybe even first day, in office. How far it will go...well, we'll see..........

I'm no Trump fan, but finally realized TDS is a real thing, many people seem incapable of having a rational conversation about him, much more real than "trans". I've had a couple of close friends, otherwise smart and sensible women, I've known for decades, refer to him as HItler. Most batshit crazy, and anti-semitic, thing I've ever heard them say.

I consider myself a traditional Marxist (NOT Neo-Marxist or Cultural Marxist, Frankfurt School & other postmodernist horsesh*t) and the hysteria from "the new left" and the (hyper)liberal elites against Trump has actually done nothing but help him! Because people know they're lying. They have no arguments other than "worse than Hitler" which indeed is an outrageous insult to the victims of the Nazi regime. I'd describe him as a nationalist rightwing populist which does NOT equal fascist. The Biden administration was incredibly authoritarian, completely on the side of the military industrial complex and did absolutely nothing for working class people yet I have to support them against Trump? No.

Well said. I have not heard a single Democratic politician come out against war in general for years. Heard some interview with Trump recently in which the topic was war and the interviewer was trying to bait him to take a side on some conflict. He didn't take a side and essentially stated that his main concern was to avoid war, that he didn't want any killing. He put it in a very straightforward and basic manner, though much better than I am now, but it really was very sensible and humane way to think about war, to recognize, and want to avoid, the utter devastation of it. Many folks have been voting Democrat so long it is just a bad habit for them, they can't see how much the party has changed since they started voting.

The modern Left's inability to form a coherent argument is so depressing. After the election, I saw a philosophy YTer I usually like describe everyone who voted for him as (paraphrasing) cult members enacting the will of the leader. Like,, good lord, heaven forbid we engage with people who don't agree with us as fully realised human beings with their own opinions and reasoning. Nah, orange man bad, that's all

It will be interesting to see if tRUMP follows through with removing transformers from Women's Private Spaces since he is Buddy's with Bruce/Caitlin Jenner

These people are being asked to respect women's sports and spaces, not be language Nazis, and not expect the world to embrace their delusion and bend unquestionably to their whims. In other words, they get the same rights as everyone else, but not more. They should not expect us to stand by complicitly while children and vulnerable adults are harmed by the medical-industrial complex. That's what caring and ethical people do. (Gee, it looks like Trump saved TikTok for this guy, at least temporarily!)

I deeply mistrust Trump and the Republicans but then again I don't trust the political class as a whole. I really do hope Trump will push back on the gender ideology and ban this quasi-religion from schools. Same goes for "critical race theory" and all the other postmodernist crap. (I'm NOT conservative but I absolutely despise postmodernism. It's a cult.)

Critical Race Theory will not go away.

You can't change factual history ‼️

Could you please explain to me what you mean by "critical race theory"? Are you referring to teaching about the history of chattel slavery and Jim Crow segregation which are facts of U.S. history?

Also to get their hormones and potential surgeries gratis *for life*!

I really don't think that the military should be paying for the unnecessary implants and genital flaying of thousands of men...

Expand full comment

Absolutely right! No, we should not be paying for it. Taxpayer money should go to vets who need PTSD therapy and other types of basic medical care.

Exactly! This precise cohort still remains drastically under-served. It's appalling.

Expand full comment

There really is no justification for it. Paying for surgeries that are guaranteed to make your personnel *less* physically capable? Where a good outcome is that the patient doesn't become incontinent and off themselves? I know it's easier said than done, but the military really needs to take that shit away

She's great!

Expand full comment

She is about 98% correct in that article. She is wrong on a couple of things. This is not a new phenomenon these people have always been there. The were though less emboldened, less enabled and less visible to mainstream society. But they were always there.

She is also wrong that she believes only a proportion care about the "passing" thing it applies to all of them irrespective of their motivations for medicalising or not. It is just not realistic or even possible for the overwhelming majority of them.

Even the ultra gay ultra fem trannies for varying reasons obsess about it. If there motivations are sexual (i.e. to attract men) or they have diagnosable Identity Disorder (if they can't avoid being seen as their original sex all the dresses and makeup in the world aren't going to alleviate it). These people are not (usually) the psychotic, sociopathic types she describes in her article. Their behaviours have other explanations and it's not clear why she excludes them for any kind of description in the article.

Other than that she is pretty much spot on

Expand full comment

Yeah, she certainly didn't seem to differentiate between gay and straight (for example) in that essay, did she? Maybe she was only referring to the “worst” of the AGP type?

Even so, I think that there's a somewhat wider range of primary and secondary motivations and comorbid conditions at play behind the desire of men to “transition”, and these are undoubtedly still shifting.

We all know that Trump doesn't care about women. He loves him some virtuous troon male friends who support him. The man is a walking personification of the id. He's going to be bad for the country because he doesn't actually care about anything except for his own base desires and impulses. Might he accidentally do something that accidentally benefits women and girls? Possibly. But he gets no brownie points from me for accidentally doing good shit. He doesn't care about women and girls. He sexualized his own daughters. He's abused a multitude of women. I kinda think that puts him in the same category with the troons that his base feelings take precedence over the well-being of women.

Expand full comment

Since the left has gone completely bonkers I do hope Trump might push back at least so that women can again openly express their thoughts on gender ideology instead of being censored, bullied and harassed by the postmodernist "empathy people".

What you say is probably true, but I am still glad that Kamala lost. She was already clearly in massive support of troonery and of all wokeness. She would have expanded it greatly. She stated it outright several times, that I saw on videos. There might have been better choices than Trump, no doubt. But, Kamala was the WORST choice. Ron Desantis would probably have made a better president if he doesn't become corrupted.
