My son is a 'retired' elite Tranadian athlete. He coaches now. He told me that TRAINING and competitive athletes are subject to regular and random 'pee tests'. Their diets, their weight, and their overall health is closely monitored. Athletes also have to produce identification to register and sign several different CONSENT forms to be eligible/qualify to compete because Sports Associations MUST have liability insurance.
