Wow, thanks for the information Karen.Taking the word of a wife-beating flasher and condemning women for being hetrosexual sure makes Tish Hyman a misogynistic hetrophobe. So what if people condemned her for seeing women as sex objects? And why does she say she's "f*'ing b*tches?" Having sex with subhumans, animals, dogs? What else are b*tches?!

Great piece, Karen.and so, so true. It is always men. Not all men, but always men. Anyone who believes that women have any real power in the world are rank misogynists, utterly deluded or straight-jacket insane.

You don't have to dig very deeply to discover how some men manipulate every policy of government to favour men. Men betray their country, betray their principles, betray women, but they rarely betray each other in any way that actually harms the ways in which men rule. Protecting themselves and their set-up is in their DNA.

It is a hard lesson to learn for women and girls - that almost all men are self-interested to the point of destroying anything and anyone who gets in the way of that. It has taken me my whole life to understand that. All creatures have a level of self-interest that ids aimed at survival and, maybe, just a bit more, but so many men corrupt that basic survival instinct into something that is so detrimental to the other half of the species that it must border on a form of deep-rooted insanity.

I know that the men on here will protest, but, self-interest means that they will see their behaviours only from a male vantage point, which also proves quite neatly why they are not, and can never be, women. They, quite simply, cannot even begin to comprehend how women feel about their aberrant behaviours, from the detrimentally-sexual to the power-grabbing while we have to see them in stark reality every day of our lives. That so many of them actually hate us should be no surprise. That we do not, generally, hate them is one of the wonders of the universe.

👍 "... a fan of Tish Hyman's ... pre-emptive ‘leave our friend alone’ ..." 🙂

Kind of a mouthful or two, and probably more than a few devils in the details which I'll have to look into after a late supper.

In any case, Tish, or rather her last name, reminds me of a quip, or an off-colour joke, to the effect that some men's favourite opening line that they like to hear from a woman is, "Hi, men ..." Maybe her's is still intact? 😉🙂

Couldn't resist introducing the sexual note to every comment as usual. It is tedious and childish, not to mention laddish. Listen up and you might learn something really profound about how different women see men.

"They" say that the personal is political. And I doubt that one can get more up close and personal than sex.

Which reminds me that I've often been rather amused by the many feminist "philosophers", leaders, and cheerleaders who rally around the flag of lesbianism while many transgender activists are gay males or fellow-travellers. De gustibus and all that, but I still periodically wonder how their sexual predilections colour their political positions and activities.

Do they? How enlightening. The reason, I would assume, that so many 'feminists' (i.e. women) rally around lesbianism, and vice versa, is because self-aware women understand the need to unite against male hegemony - at least, most of it. We know perfectly well that it's not all men, but it is always men who have tried to take away every little advance we make.

Many gay men are just as misogynistic as straight men - they are men, after all, and nobody could accuse most men of not looking after their own interests at the expense of everyone else and everything else on the planet, their own interests being their continuing comfort and ease (outwith wars, of course, which, inevitably and invariably, they start, while everyone else suffers).

I would imagine that, for women of a certain age, interest in the male wanes - at least from a sexual perspective - and they are able to see men in a unclouded, realist way that they, perhaps, did not see them before that point. For young women, biology intervenes to blind them to the reality of the prison in which they exist as ciphers. Even some lesbian women, I have been told, have some residual blindness where males are concerned.

The truth, I suspect is that women, from childhood, have no real conception of how sadistic, cruel and self-interested so many men can be. They see kind fathers and indulgent brothers - and, even there, some are anything but, and are seduced into believing that all males are like that. Many men are good people, I have no doubt of that, but, as a sex class, they are vicious and nasty to women and girls for no good reason at all.

I suspect, but do not know, that it is a kind ion mental ill-health brought on by a deep-rooted jealousy of the female sex which, allowed its head, would outstrip them in every sphere apart from those where brute strength is required, and still produce new life.
